De Tamarind Seed Sessions vol.1: Thank you

Whenever we think back to the way CU was started we are always moved (Why the hell I can't have a Kitch Jersey) words that started the dream.

Though Machi and I may have been the creative forces behind the line it was the people, friends and family who made the brand what it currently is. Last night the people stepped up again at the 1st official Tamarind Seed Session featuring KEVON CARTER. On a MONDAY evening in downtown Brooklyn we gathered to enjoy a Vibe and ah lime with music from Kevon, and again we were humbled and moved by the gesture of the people. I don't think we knew then, with all the adrenalin and the first show jitters what we had managed to accomplish. But now we realize that we were able to bring people to downtown Brooklyn , on the G train (if u r from BK u know the G), some by car. To a place that was relatively unknown, with no fighting and no misbehavior on a MONDAY….A MONDAY. (Sputnik has never had a Monday like ours). I know because the owner told me so.

We would like to personally thank each and every one of you who made Our Maiden Tamarind Seed Session a success. I realize now that CU is not only a clothing line , it is also the pride of being represented and represented well.

CU's New Ad Campaign "I am important." Photo Shoot

The photoshoot took place in a photo studio located in Downtown Manhattan. For the campaign total 8 new models will be featured including singers Kevon Carter and Trinity. Photos were taken by a well-known, NYC based photographer Brenda Staudenmaier.

Trinidad All Stars Win Panorama Title (With COSKEL on )

In a hotly contested contest, Trinidad All Stars bested defending champions Phase II Pan Groove by two points - 288.5 to the latter's 286.5. The 2007 panorama champs played De Fosto's Pan Lamentation as their tune of choice, while Phase II used Crazy's composition Sharing Licks.

This event was historic on many levels; it was the first panorama held outside of the traditional venue of Queen's Park Savannah in Port-of -Spain - Skinner Park in San Fernando, south Trinidad.

Additionally, the first prize payout was one million TT (USD 159K) to the winning band. Total prize monies for the 2007 Panorama season will be in the millions of dollars tt when all summed up.

Steel pan prodigy Dane Gulston recently did a photo shoot with Coskel University to promote his new ad campaign and 1 year endorsement deal, also in the works, an opportunity for us to outfit Trinidad All Stars for Panorama 2K7.

Famed Pannist Liam Teague recently did a video for composer Mark Loquan's Nostalgia the vid shows great imagery form Trinidad and Tobago displaying some of its natural beauty and reemphasizing to those of us who have been away for a long time what an incredible jewel this twin island Republic is...

Doesn't hurt that he is COSKEL.
