trade show in
Tokyo Japan - one of the most prestigious and well attended
clothing trade shows - a rite of passage for new brands and
a rejuvenation for established clothing companies. The response
to the CU's new collection has surpassed expectations.

De Tamarind Seed Sessions vol. 2: Thank
you
Tamarind Seed Session Volume 2 has come and gone, and again
we are humbled by the experience. Another Monday night, another
great turnout, another group of incredibly talented artists
doing a job that, in our opinion was too good for words.
We now know that our maiden session was not a fluke, and
just like Coskel University, boomed by being marketed to
people who were unaware of our culture.
TSS has thrived with the support of the people and the incredible
artists who gave of their time and talent so freely. If
ever there was a concept destined to fail it was this one;
a Monday night, with a relatively unknown artist and DJ.
It's wasn't a party, an all inclusive or a boat ride and
the event was in a hard to reach location... but we not only
succeeded, we flourished because again we stood up and decieded
we wanted to be seen. We wanted to be represented, and most
of all, we want to support our culture.
CU would like to thank:

De Tamarind Seed Sessions vol.1: Thank
you
Whenever we think back to the way CU was started we are
always moved (Why the hell I can't have a Kitch Jersey) words
that started the dream.
Though Machi and I may have been the creative forces behind
the line it was the people, friends and family who made the
brand what it currently is. Last night the people stepped
up again at the 1st official Tamarind Seed Session featuring
KEVON CARTER. On a MONDAY evening in downtown Brooklyn we
gathered to enjoy a Vibe and ah lime with music from Kevon,
and again we were humbled and moved by the gesture of the
people. I don't think we knew then, with all the adrenalin
and the first show jitters what we had managed to accomplish.
But now we realize that we were able to bring people to downtown
Brooklyn , on the G train (if u r from BK u know the G),
some by car. To a place that was relatively unknown, with
no fighting and no misbehavior on a MONDAY….A MONDAY.
(Sputnik has never had a Monday like ours). I know because
the owner told me so.
We would like to personally thank each and every one of you
who made Our Maiden Tamarind Seed Session a success. I realize
now that CU is not only a clothing line , it is also the
pride of being represented and represented well.

Trinidad All Stars Win Panorama Title (With COSKEL on )
In a hotly contested contest, Trinidad All Stars bested defending
champions Phase II Pan Groove by two points - 288.5 to the
latter's 286.5. The 2007 panorama champs played De Fosto's
Pan Lamentation as their tune of choice, while Phase II used
Crazy's composition Sharing Licks.
This event was historic
on many levels; it was the first panorama held outside of the
traditional venue of Queen's Park Savannah in Port-of -Spain
- Skinner Park in San Fernando, south Trinidad.
Additionally,
the first prize payout was one million TT (USD 159K) to the
winning band. Total prize monies for the 2007 Panorama season
will be in the millions of dollars tt when all summed up.

Liam Teague is COSKEL.
Famed Pannist Liam Teague recently did a video for composer
Mark Loquan's Nostalgia the vid shows great imagery form Trinidad
and Tobago displaying some of its natural beauty and reemphasizing
to those of us who have been away for a long time what an incredible
jewel this twin island Republic is...
Doesn't hurt that he is COSKEL.
